We invite all young women to join us this summer at Camp Zion for young women camp. In addition to registering online by May 1st, please read over the requirements and packing lists, and pay fees by June 1st

Important: Please bring a sack lunch and wear your swimsuit for the first day of camp. 

 

 

Monday, July 22nd

9 am: 4th years arrive at Camp Zion

11am: YCLs arrive at Camp Zion

Tuesday, July 23rd

11am: All other campers and leaders arrive

 

Saturday, July 27th

11am: Pick up and departure from Camp Zion

 

If camper is arriving late to camp or leaving early from camp, parent/guardian needs to fill out this form:

 Fees

$125 Camp Fee*

(per young woman)

Fees due JUNE 1st

*Please check with your ward YW president regarding your actual cost.  Due to fundraisers and other subsidies your cost may be less.

All money should be paid to your individual ward. Place payment in a tithing envelope and write "girls camp" in the "other" column and give the envelope to a bishopric member. No refunds will be given for girls not attending camp. 

Adult leaders do not pay a camp fee.

Waiver DUE by July 12

 

Instructions for Parent/Guardian filling out the online Adventure Waiver: 

Read waiver and enter initials using mouse for each section.  Once initials are entered, fill out the "My Info" section that shows up and click on "I am an Adult Guardian (not participating) signing for Minors".  Enter the number of minors participating and then edit minor's info.

Pack a separate bag from their regular stuff for camp with what they will need for Monday night and Tuesday. This bag should include mess kit and silverware, good walking shoes, PJs, toiletries, change of clothes, swimsuit, towel, scriptures and their sleeping bag. The girls will need to bring the following food:

 

  • Bag lunch for Monday

  • Dinner* for Monday (we will make a fire)

  • Breakfast* for Tuesday (we will make a fire)

  • Money for fast food lunch on Tuesday (think McD's value menu) or bag lunch

*Girls are encouraged to bring simple meals to cook for Monday night dinner and Tuesday breakfast.  Examples are oatmeal, freeze-dried meals, boxed rice or pasta meals, PB&J sandwiches, etc.

PACKING LIST

Clothes
Remember this is camp.  Don't bring your nice stuff.
 
  • Modest swimsuit (covers your stomach)

  • Pajamas

  • 4 pairs of underwear

  • 4 pairs of socks

  • 2 pairs of long pants

  • 2 long sleeve shirts

  • Sweatshirt or jacket

  • 2 pairs of sneakers/shoes

  • Shorts--minimum inseam of 8”

  • 3 T-shirts

  • Rain gear and hat

Camping Gear
  • Pillow and warm sleeping bag

  • Small backpack/day pack

  • Flashlight and EXTRA BATTERIES

  • Canteen or water bottle

  • Insect Repellent

  • Sunscreen

Personal Items
  • 1 close-toed water shoes

  • Watch - must have for YCLs

  • Comb or brush

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste

  • Soap and shampoo

  • Washcloth and 2 towels

  • Feminine sanitary supplies

  • Deodorant

  • 1 Flip flops or shower shoes

Other items
  • Scriptures

  • Journal

  • Personal Progress Book 

  • For Strength of Youth pamphlet

  • Pen or pencil

  • Sack lunch for the first day

  • Also, wear your swimsuit to camp under your clothes the first day

We challenge you not to bring
 
  • Food or candy

  • Shirts with no sleeves or that don’t cover your stomach

  • Open-toed sandals (except for shower)

  • Electronics of any kind

  • Phones
